Studio 3 by Severn is a first-floor photographic studio at Westgate House in Long Eaton, running since 2011. The shooting space measures 44ft by 22ft and is equipped with remote-control Pixapro lighting and around 60 backgrounds, nine of them on a motorised roll system. The studio has a large stock of props and outfits from different eras, including swords and shields, muskets and flintlock rifles, bloomers and petticoats, and swing and wiggle dresses. Permanent sets include a phone booth, French shutters and a Victorian boudoir, which suit pin-up, period, glamour, dance and portrait work. Hire starts from 20 GBP per hour, and assistance is available on request. A regular group shoot runs on Tuesday evenings, and photo events are held at weekends. The studio is easy to reach from Nottingham or Derby, close to the local train station and on good bus routes.
