Tech and AI startup brand photography has developed a specific aesthetic problem. The brief usually arrives with a moodboard of grey-wall headshots from other tech companies — LinkedIn-ready portraits, clean backgrounds, maybe a blurred office in the distance. Technically fine. My advice: decide what the hero asset is. If it's the founder portrait, book the room that does portraiture well and shoot product in the same space as a secondary setup. If the product photography is the priority — because you're launching hardware and the device images are going on the homepage — book the studio that does tabletop well and accept that the team shots will be secondary.

That's not cheap. But it's the difference between brand assets that last three years and a website refresh in six months because the photos never quite worked.

Acoustic treatment isn't just for recording studios. A space with hard concrete floors and bare brick walls creates a sonic environment that affects the shoot energy.
